What is Voice Work Academy?
Great question and fantastic place to start! It’s a number of courses to get you started in voice over and hopefully move you into a six-figure career. It was created by Bailey Varness several years ago and has helped thousands of students start and thrive as voice actors.
So Who is Bailey Varness?
Terrific natural follow up! I’m a professional voice actor of over 15 years and have performed in almost every genre of VO you can think of. I’ve trained with the best and worked with the best. I’m known as The Vocal Supermodel, and my brand has taken me to heights I never dreamed imaginable. I’ve had incredible experiences in VO, and a few awful ones. That gives me amazing insight to be able to show you what works to help you get started and how to avoid my mistakes!
Why Teach and not just Act?
My mother was an elementary school teacher. My father was a college math professor. Amongst my in-laws they’ve taught reading, math, music, and Spanish at all grade levels. Being around all those master educators always made me want to teach as well, but not as much as I wanted to be an actress. Now thanks to the magic of the internet, I’m able to combine both of my loves and teach what I do best!
And if you’re one of those people who believes in the old adage, “Those who can do, those who can’t teach,” well let me assure you, I wouldn’t be the expert I am without DOING acting work everyday. Also, stop saying that! Most teachers are MASTERS of what they do. That's why they're great - like me! *HUMBLE BRAG*
